Game of Thrones’ Hafthor Bjornsson wins debut boxing match, sends brutal KO warning to Eddie Hall

When it comes to sheer strength (excluding superpowers, of course), very few fictional characters come close to Game of Thrones’ Ser Gregor Clegane, The Mountain. The actor who portrayed the role, Hafthor Bjornsson, is equally as humongous and terrifying in real life. Ever since the prequel House of The Dragon arrived, fans have wondered if anyone from the new show can square up to The Mountain himself. There have been a few suggestions, such as Ryan Corr’s Ser Harwin ‘Breakbones’ Strong. But his answer might surprise all the Harwin fans out there.

In the episode “Gone Too Soon” of the official Game of Thrones podcast, Corr said, “I think The Mountain would probably fold him up into a pretzel. When I first got cast, I did say to Miguel and Michael, “You know I have the body of a high diver, right?” Just like my nan, you know what I mean? And they said, you know, “We feel like you have an essence. Or there’s something in you.” Yeah, Yeah, it was one of those film words, isn’t it? An essence, a Harwin essence.”

“I don’t know if he’d fare very well against The Mountain. But also, where he’s called Breakbones from is kind of muddled, as well. I mean, in the book, it’s Mushroom that sort of names him ‘Breakbones’. And I think it’s after he had his collarbone broken by Criston Cole in a tourney. So some of them can be hearsay, and some of them can be biased. And you know, it’s a lot about, kind of like Larys as a character. It’s about deciding what you can and can’t believe.”
