Matt Smith looks “damn sexy” as Daemon Targaryen, says Fabien Frankel from House of the Dragon
Fabien Frankel, the star of House of the Dragon, thinks Matt Smith looks very sexy while portraying Daemon Targaryen in the series. Frankel is no stranger to acting himself—he has starred in several movies and TV shows—he mentioned that he’d been blown away by Smith’s ability to capture Daemon’s essence.
During a recent interview with the Times of London, Frankel said:
“Matt’s damn sexy in this show, he’s the sexiest I’ve ever seen him. We had a blast shooting those scenes. We really liked each other a lot. I remember Matt saying, ‘Maybe they’re flirting, Criston and Daemon.’ It’s funny because I thought that in private but I didn’t want to say anything in case it felt controversial.”
Daemon Targaryen has been the subject of much speculation since he was introduced in House of the Dragon season 1. The makers have yet not confirmed anything about his sexuality. While many thought that this character is straight as an arrow, others speculate that he is bisexual, after watching the sixth episode.
In fact, many fans also theorized that Rhaenyra and Alicent have this romantic angle between them. This was primarily because of their extremely close relationship that was portrayed earlier in the series. However, that angle was later clarified by the stars playing the respective characters.
