Maisie Williams reveals she's taking combat training for Game of Thrones Season 8
Maisie Williams plays the role of Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, and when she isn’t doing that, she is busy with other projects. Her latest is the animated film named Early Man, and a lot of interviews from her press tour for the movie have been coming out. Recently, Maisie talked about how filming Season 8 is, and now she has revealed that she is taking combat training for Season 8. Read on!
Maisie has talked about Season 8 being an impossible challenge to film, but we haven’t had much information about her part as of yet, until now. In a recent interview with People’s Magazine, Maisie revealed a bit more. We know that Game of Thrones Season 8 will be heavy and probably have a lot of battle, but it seems like Maisie will be more involved in the action than we thought. Maisie said:
“Yesterday I took a stunt class for the new season of [Game of Thrones]. It’s sword work and combat fighting. The [trainers] have all these big pads on, so you’re allowed to just go crazy.”
She was also asked what she took from the sets of Game of Thrones and she revealed a nice prank:
“They have these pools of fake blood so they don’t have to clean it up, and I took a load of those and put them on the table and pretended I had a really bad nosebleed. Everyone was like “What is going on?””
She also joked about carrying Arya Stark’s Needle everywhere, since she lived in a dodgy part of town.
As far as Game of Thrones goes, Maisie is working hard. Like we had recently reported, Maisie is filming 12 straight weeks of night shoots, and it looks like she will feature prominently in Season 8, so let’s rejoice! What do you guys think? What is her part in Season 8 going to be? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
