Kit Harington auctions off signed Game of Thrones gift to support Ukraine

Game of Thrones took inspiration from various real-world events from medieval history, and a lot of them were incredibly violent. The struggle to sit on the Iron Throne and rule the land of Westeros claimed innumerable lives, and something similar is happening in Ukraine right now. Russia has invaded Ukraine, and the world powers are hesitant to help directly to avoid the advent of World War III. However, some people are coming forward to help the war refugees in Ukraine as much as they can, including Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington.

Harington recently auctioned off a valuable memoir from Game of Thrones in the Auction For Ukraine relief fund. It is a blanket he received as a production wrap gift after filming the final season of the series. The words “We will never see your like again” are inscribed in gold at the corner, along with the Game of Thrones logo. “It is exceptionally rare and very precious to me, but I couldn’t think of a better object that will hopefully fetch a good price at auction,” Harington wrote. “I will sign it with a fabric pen and therefore it really will be a unique collector’s item.”
Currently, the bid is at £950, which is around $1,252. Hopefully, it will fetch a good price and be of some help to the refugees stuck in Ukraine.
