Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are getting attracted to each other according to Game of Thrones showrunners

Since the beginning of time (read Game of Thrones), fans have been shipping two of the major Game of Thrones characters like nobody’s business. Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen’s fates have been entwined in the minds of fans and now it seems like some wishes are being granted. Even though season 6 proved that Jon is Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark’s son, which makes him Dany’s nephew, this information hasn’t stopped a lot of people from getting excited about Jon and Dany getting it on.

In the latest episode of season 7, ‘The Spoils of War’, things got a little more intimate between the two. Although their first meeting wasn’t exactly romantic, in fact, it was pretty tense and awkward, both these characters seem to have warmed up to each other now. And we’re not the only ones who think there’s some tension between Fire and Ice.

Game of Thrones show runner David Benioff recently confirmed the obvious during the episode commentary. “There’s tension on two sides,” he said. “They’re starting to be attracted to each other. And so much of it is not from dialogue or anything we wrote, it’s just the two of them in a small space standing near each other, and us just watching that and feeling the heat of that.”

It’s not just the fans and the creators of the show but one of the characters as well who is totally on board the Jonerys ship. Ser Davos was heard talking to Jon about Dany, and he wasn’t one to mince his words when he stated what was clearly on everyone else’s minds. When Jon says that Drogon’s mummy has a good heart, Davos, without holding back, responds with, “A good heart? I’ve noticed you staring at her good heart.”

Ser Davos is definitely rooting for the aunt and nephew to get together (granted he doesn’t know the truth yet), and so are the fans and the creators. It seems that many wishes are going to be fulfilled this season along with many theories if Jon and Dany do jump into action. Bonding over the threat of White Walkers and cave carvings is a pretty Game of Thrones-ish thing to do, so none would be surprised if we found another couple of incest breaking the rules in GRRM’s universe. It started with incest so it would only be apt for the plot to end with incest as well. You can watch the video below:
