Joffrey Baratheon is the most hated TV character of all time according to a recent poll

There were several memorable villains in Game of Thrones. We could not help but hate every single one of them, be it the merciless Night King, the vicious Ramsey Bolton, or the sheer wicked Cersei Lannister. There was one character, though, who truly made us despise him. Joffrey Baratheon, one of the most infamous characters on the show, was portrayed by Jack Gleeson. Not too long ago, Joffrey was voted the most loathed TV villain ever.
Joffrey Baratheon is the most hated character in all of television history
A recent poll curated by the popular entertainment website Ranker reflected who the fans thought was the worst character on TV. Quite surprisingly, despite appearing only for 4 seasons, Game of Thrones’ Joffrey Baratheon topped the list, gathering over 6500 votes for his cruel, sadistic, and bratty attitude. His death in Season 4 Episode 2 was perhaps one of the most celebrated deaths in the Game of Thrones fandom.
Other Game of Thrones characters on the most-hated list
Besides the former King of Westeros, his mother Cersei Lannister and Lord Ramsay Bolton also made it to the top 10 of the list. Ramsay’s cold and demented psyche landed him at the second spot right under Joffrey, while the Queen Mother ranked seventh out of over 150 characters selected from all over the history of TV shows.
