Amid political intrigue and dragon fire, two masters of manipulation face off in a battle of wits. Tyland Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, the guy who makes coins disappear into his pocket, dealt with Sharako Lohar, the warrior who makes his enemies disappear into thin air. Tyland Lannister faced a daunting challenge, which was convincing Admiral Sharako Lohar, the Triarchy’s fearless naval leader, to join the Green forces. To seal the deal, Lannister must demonstrate his physical prowess and strategic thinking to the battle-hardened admiral, who won’t be easily swayed.

Director Geeta Vasant Patel on building a world

Director Geeta Vasant Patel and the team took a trip to the Tyroshi Pavilion and turned it into a wild ride for Tyland Lannister. They wanted to create a new world where Tyland would be utterly uncomfortable, and they succeeded.

Patel and showrunner Ryan Condal got everyone on board to build this world from scratch, thinking about all the little things that would make a Westerner like Tyland squirm – from removing shoes to sitting on the floor, to encountering wild animals.

They crafted a culture that would put Tyland way out of his element, making for a truly unforgettable experience. As Geeta Patel puts it, “We needed to create a new world for him to be uncomfortable in,” and that’s exactly what they did.

Jefferson Hall’s fear of monkeys

Director Geeta Vasant Patel had a vision for an epic introduction to the Tyroshi Pavilion, and it involved a mischievous monkey named Rosie. Jefferson Hall, however, was less than thrilled about working with monkeys, especially after being warned not to look Rosie in the eye.

Despite the initial intimidation, Jefferson survived the encounter, but his next challenge was mud wrestling – which he handled surprisingly well! However, singing was a different story altogether. As Jefferson reflects on the experience, he can’t help but laugh and say, “Wow, that was a hell of a trip.”
