Isaac Hempstead Wright explains how Bran Stark’s powers work
Game of Thrones is a crazy show with a crazy amount of characters, some of which are actually crazy. For example, Bran Stark. The creepy crawly kid has grown into a creepy crippled kid, and then some more. Game of Thrones has great character work, but Bran Stark’s character has changed like no other one, and there is an air of mystery to him that perplexes us and makes us wonder if he has a giant part in the end of the show.
We know that Bran can see everything, but it still took him a long time to get to some obvious conclusions in Season 7. Issac Hempstead Wright, who plays the role of Bran, recently explained Bran’s powers in a recent interview with withCinemaBlend. Read on!
Now, as we know, the show had a rather long walk to confirming Jon Snow‘s true parentage, and that matter was dragged over Season 7, despite Bran having become the Three-Eyed Raven, and having the ability to see everything. Issac says this seems odd only because we don’t know how Bran’s powers work :
“I think it wasn’t quite fully explained how Bran’s power works. It’s not that he knows absolutely everything already, it’s like he has a dictionary in front of him, or an encyclopedia with all of history, and he can look anything up. Like at the end when Samwell says ‘Oh, is this something you can see?’ Bran can go back and look at it and say ‘Oh yeah, that happened.’”
“He hasn’t been the Three-Eyed Raven long enough to look through all of history in the way that Max von Sydow’s Three-Eyed Raven had to be in that cave for thousands of years and had been able to spend every single day exploring different parts of history, whereas Bran Stark is still only kind of looking at the important bits. It was more the fact that he didn’t know where to look, not that he was withholding. That’s officially how Bran’s power works.”
That explains it! Bran is still under training. The question now is, will Bran Stark play a major part in stopping the Night King and his Army of the Dead? Guess we will have to wait and find out! What do you think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
