Is HBO’s new casting call meant for Jane Goldman’s prequel series?
A month ago, the airing schedule of Game of Thrones Season 8 was confirmed for the first half of 2019 by Casey Bloys – the programming president of HBO. Apart from this he also pretty much confirmed that the Game of Thrones prequel (possibly named the Long Night) may start filming in early 2019.
A later report by Huffington post too had confirmed that the prequel or at least a pilot for will begin filming in the month of February – most probably the concept of Jane Goldman. The unnamed prequel for the long-night had the following synopsis:
“Taking place thousands of years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ the series chronicles the world’s descent from theGoldenAge of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend … it’s not the story we think we know.”
But, recently a casting call of HBO surfaced on the internet, which suggests that it is looking forward to casting actors for a few diverse roles for an upcoming highly-confidential project. It became a public knowledge through the twitter user Joe Weaver’s post.

According to the image posted, these roles are for a few code-named characters. This casting call includes :A– Series Regular. Male. Aged 17-22. Mixed Race actor, S– Series Regular. Female. Aged 24-32. Black actress, I– Series Regular. Female. Aged 17-25. Caucasian actress, and, finally F– Series Regular. Female. Aged 16-23. Black actress.
Nobody exactly has any idea for which new series are these actors required – perhaps, for the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel of Jane Goldman. This confidential project of HBO will begin shooting in February 2019, which exactly matches the filming schedule decided for Goldman’s prequel series.
