Emma D’Arcy’s dream to star alongside Keanu Reeves
Keanu Reeves is one of Hollywood’s nicest guys. And it’s Emma D’Arcy’s dream to one day act alongside him. In a recent episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, D’Arcy was asked who they would like to star in a movie with. They said,
“Without overthinking this, the person I just want to say is Keanu Reeves. It’s the correct answer and you mustn’t second guess it. The name comes from the gut and it’s Keanu Reeves. My Own Private Idaho, The f***ing Matrix, John Wick, John f***ing Wick. Imagine if that was real, a buddy cop movie that’s me and Keanu Reeves!”
Emma D’Arcy didn’t know about “shipping” before House of the Dragon
While fans have been shipping Rhaenyra with several different characters, but D’Arcy didn’t even know the meaning of the term until they landed the role. D’Arcy confessed in the podcast,
“I appreciate its existence. I don’t engage with it, though. We’re like respectful neighbors, and that feels like the appropriate way to relate to it. That said, I love the creativity that comes with a fan base like that of Thrones and House of the Dragon. There’s so much production happening around the show itself. I find that kind of amazing. I think it would have been incredible to be part of something like that as a younger person. Maybe that’s where I should have been as a teenager.”
There might be a new shipping in town now, Emma D’Arcy and Keanu Reeves!
