House of the Dragon concept designs nominated at the Concept Art Awards 2023

House of the Dragon‘s debut season expertly encapsulated everything we’ve grown to love about the Game of Thrones series. The show’s essential elements shined without a doubt, including the violence and duplicity as well as the emotions of love, passion, want, desolation, and fear. Two of the House of the Dragon concept arts have made it to the finals of Concept Arts Awards 2023.

Constantine Sekeris, a concept artist and monster creator, has been nominated for his design of Vhagar at the Concept Art Awards 2023.

 

Rhaenyra’s investiture in the Throne Room is depicted in concept art by Qingling Zhang, who has been nominated for the Concept Art Awards 2023.

What is the Concept Arts Awards 2023?

Excellence in character, monster, vehicle/prop, environment, keyframe, color keys, and visual development are recognized annually by the Concept Art Awards, which are assessed by a panel of industry professionals. The Pasadena Civic Auditorium will host the 2023 Concept Art Awards on Saturday, October 28th as part of LightBox Expo. The event honors independent, professional, and student work as well as a Rising Star, LBX Luminary, Community Icon, and Lifetime Achievement Award.
