His Dark Materials actor Wade Briggs joins the cast of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

HBO is set to broaden George R. R. Martin‘s universe with a new series titled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. This series will be an adaptation of Martin’s novella series, The Tales of Dunk and Egg. The series has already finished filming the first season, and is currently in post-production. More details about the cast has just been revealed.

Wade Briggs has been cast as Ser Roland Crakehall

Though HBO has managed to keep details about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms mostly under wraps, new details often pour out randomly. According to a new leak by Redanian Intelligence, Wade Briggs (His Dark Materials) has been cast as Ser Roland Crakehall. Ser Roland Crakehall was a member of Kingsguard in the books.

Ser Duncan’s sigil from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

The forthcoming Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, draws its inspiration from George R.R. Martin’s Dunk & Egg novels. The novels depict Ser Duncan’s coat of arms as ‘a green shooting star above an elm tree proper on sunset.’ A recent leak has revealed the first look at the sigil in the series.
