Here’s a first look at Rhaenyra Targaryen’s new war banner

The second season of House of the Dragon, a Game of Thrones prequel, is now being shot in North Wales. Fans are enthusiastic about Season 2, which has already begun filming, with many new sets being created at key locations. In the past few leaks from previous locations, we have come to know a bit more about the scenes that have been filmed so far. Recently, we got a better look at Rhaenyra Targaryen’s new banner.

Rhaenyra’s new banner in Season 2

House of the Dragon Season 2 is currently filming in North Wales. The latest set pictures come from Trefor Quarry which is used as a stand-in for Dragonstone. The sets are decorated with a new set of banners, that have a chain-mail background as opposed to the black-clothed one. These are Rhaenyra’s new war banners, provided by House the Dragons fan site.

As seen in the leaks from Spain, King Aegon II Targaryen will also be adopting a new sigil in House of the Dragon Season 2. The banner bears a golden dragon sigil on his chest and flies a banner with the same golden sigil behind him to honor his dragon, Sunfyre, who has golden scales. The three-headed dragon for his father, gold for color for Sunfyre, and Green in honor of Hightowers.
