HBO chief Casey Bloys doesn’t believe House of the Dragon fans are divided over Season 2
How can a network be so oblivious to fan reaction?

The reception of House of the Dragon Season 2 has been less favorable than its first season, primarily because of substantial changes from George R. R. Martin‘s book, Fire & Blood, which Martin has publicly criticized. Despite valid complaints from both Martin and viewers, HBO maintains its creative direction for the Game of Thrones prequel.
HBO chief thinks House of the Dragon Season 2 was great
The second season of House of the Dragon caused a lot of debate online. Quite a great number of fans were unsatisfied with the disservice to George R.R. Martin’s work. However, HBO is choosing to turn a blind eye to all the controversy, with Casey Bloys confirming in an interview with Deadline:
“Well, I’m not sure that the fans were divided over Season 2.”

Casey Bloys believes House of the Dragon Season 2 has a great chance at Emmys next year
When Deadline pointed out the comments made by Martin about Season 2, Bloys hinted that maybe he’s the only one who had a problem. He even has high hopes for the series, as he said,
“Yes, maybe one fan was. But no, the show did really, really well. I expect that will be in competition. I have high hopes for Penguin and Colin [Farrell] and Cristin [Milioti]. We’ve got White Lotus coming back, we’ve got Last of Us coming back, we’ve got Emmy winner Hacks coming back. So I’m looking forward to next year.”
