HBO cancels Rose Leslie starrer Time Traveler’s Wife after Season 1

Filming a big project is like a huge gamble, you don’t know if it will pay off, you just have to work on your intuition. Sometimes these films or shows don’t see the light of the day, no matter how much they had progressed, like the Game of Thrones’ canceled prequel Blood Moon or The Long Night. Game of Thrones itself was on the verge of being called off even before its first season, and we are grateful it didn’t. However, there’s another great project that got canceled recently, one that involved Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie.
Leslie, famous for playing Ygritte on Game of Thrones, was last seen in the HBO sci-fi drama Time Traveler’s Wife, playing Clare Abshire alongside Theo James, who played Henry DeTamble. HBO recently announced the show won’t be returning for a second season.
The network announced that it won’t be going forward with another series this week (via TVLine):
“Though HBO will not be moving forward with the second season of The Time Traveler’s Wife, it was our privilege to partner with master storytellers Steven Moffat and David Nutter. We are so grateful for their passion, hard work and care for adapting this beloved book. We also thank Theo and Rose, and the rest of our brilliant cast for their heartfelt performances, which completely captivated audiences.”
