George R.R. Martin’s struggle to finish The Winds of Winter is making fans lose hope

The last book in author George R.R. Martin‘s Game of Thrones novel series was released twelve years ago. In addition to penning his next book, The Winds of Winter, he has been busy working on a number of other projects. He used to plan releases, but he quickly discovered he was unable to carry them out. That’s why he stopped giving his fans any hope.

Fans doubt if George R. R. Martin will ever finish Winds of Winter

Most of George R. R. Martin’s fans, who have been waiting for The Winds of Winter for 12 years, aren’t happy with how he is dealing with his novel and his fans. When he recently admitted he is struggling with completing the novel, this is what they said on Twitter:

Though it has been more than a decade since George R. R. Martin first started writing the highly anticipated novel of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, Martin has been quite complacent to fans’ remarks about his writing speed. He has even gone as far as to ridicule fans about their requests, asking them to stop pestering about The Winds of Winter.

Recently, Martin’s friend and Outlander series author Diana Gabaldon shared some intriguing details about a lunchtime conversation she had with the author. During the talk, Martin asked her, “You ever killed somebody off that you later realized you knew you needed?” after he had told her about a writing-related issue.
