Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson to lead AMC's adaptation of 'Interview With the Vampire'
Game of Thrones stars have spread their wings and have made their mark in the film-making industry with their amazing talent. We can find them regularly appearing on other popular shows and films, providing the fans with a nostalgic and warm feeling from their time on Game of Thrones. Richard Madden and Kit Harington have been cast in important roles in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming movie Eternels. Their co-star Emilia Clarke will soon be joining them in a yet non-disclosed role in Marvel’s Secret Invasion. Jacob Anderson has also been stirring up the internet recently with his new roles. A few weeks ago, Anderson made headlines when he joined the cast of Doctor Who in a recurring role. This time, he is in the news for being selected as the lead for AMC’s adaptation of Anne Rice’s Gothic vampire novel Interview With the Vampire.
Anderson, known for playing the Unsullied leader Grey Worm on Game of Thrones, will reunite with Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor in Interview With the Vampire. The show is expected to air on AMC in 2022. Anderson will play Louis, a young man who is seduced into the world of the undead by the amoral vampire Lestat, played by Sam Reid. Rolin Jones will serve as creator, showrunner, and executive producer of Interview With the Vampire.
Interview With Vampire was previously adapted as a 1994 feature film with Brad Pitt as Louis and Tom Cruise as Lestat. Hopefully, this upcoming show will be just as good and fans will get to watch another amazing gothic romance drama. Tell us what you think about the casting in the comments below!
It is always fun to watch our favorite stars team up on the screen. Long-time wrestling fans remember Dave Bautista as the 6’4″ hulking who dominated the ring with his awesome physique. He has impressed his fans with his on-screen presence as the Guardians of The Galaxy’s Drax the Destroyer. The wrestler turned actor is looking forward to expanding the variety in his roles, and he wants to do it with none other than his actor friend Jason Momoa.
Bautista met the Game of Thrones alum on the sets of the upcoming sci-fi film Dune, and they quickly became close buddies. He recently posted an idea on his official Twitter account, asking Momoa if he would like to team up for a buddy-cop movie directed by David Leitch.
Just going to throw this out into the atmosphere and see what happens. Here we go… Me and Momoa in a Lethal Weapon type buddy cop movie directed by David Leitch. Ok! There it is. Now we wait.?

Momoa quickly responded to his buddy call, making it public on The Late Late Show with James Corden. he said, “I’m not on Twitter, but he literally texted me about four days ago, going, ‘We need to do a buddy cop film.’ We love each other, you know, obviously we met on See, we’re on Dune together, so I said, ‘Absolutely.’ And he’s like, ‘Let’s do it in Hawaii.’ I’m like, ‘Let’s do it.’ I’m like, ‘I got an idea.’ So it’s off to the races now. We’re doing it.”
Hopefully, things will work out for the duo and we might get one of the best action-cop flicks we have ever seen. What do you think about the anticipated team-up? Tell us in the comments below!
Game of Thrones had an ensemble of the most amazing cast. You can find them frequently in other famous franchises, some even joining big production houses such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel’s Eternals is about to drop, starting Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington and Richard Madden. Their co-star Emilia Clarke is soon to follow them. Other than that, another Game of Thrones alum is set to join a famous fictional universe. Jacob Anderson, popular for playing Grey Worm on the show, will be joining the ever sprawling cast of Doctor Who.
Doctor Who is a pop culture icon, entertaining a huge following of fans over decades. Jacob has been cast as the mysterious Vinder, a recurring character who will pop up throughout the series. Vinder will join forces with the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) as the Time Lord faces her biggest ever adventure battling the forces of evil across time and space.
Details about Vinder are being kept under wraps but according to Jacob, he is ‘adventurous and dynamic. “The Doctor has been a part of my life forever, from watching and rewatching the serials on VHS as a kid and being terrified, to unexpectedly finding my eyes watering when the Tenth Doctor said “I don’t want to go”, I always wanted to live in the Whoniverse,” Jacob shared.
“Not only has a lifelong dream of mine now been fulfilled, but to be playing a character as fun, adventurous and dynamic as Vinder is the cherry on top. This is very cool.”

Game of Thrones stars are some of the biggest names in the television industry today. Many of them are assigned to big projects, and the cast keeps popping up in the news for major roles they get picked for. From Marvel to DC, to virtually every big franchise, it’s like you throw a stone, you find a Game of Thrones alum there. (Hopefully you got that reference, Loki fans!) Well, after all, Game of Thrones did employ some of the best talents out there. For those who missed the romantic side of Jon Snow, there’s good news. Actor Kit Harington, who played the role, is now playing an all romantic role in Amazon’s Modern Love Season 2. And we really hope Ygritte (Rose Leslie) doesn’t cut off his **** for that!
Amazon recently launched the trailer for season 2, check it out below!
Kit Harington, X-Men’s Anna Paquin, Bohemian Rhapsody’s Lucy Boynton and Christopher Robin’s Sophie Okonedo are just some of the stars featured in the trailer for season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s anthology series Modern Love.
The 33-year-old actor was spotted in Dublin last year filming for the upcoming series of Modern Love. The series tells the stories of couples published in the New York Times.
Harington’s storyline sees his character meet a girl played by Boynton on a train. Rather than exchange numbers (or Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Snapchat/LinkedIn profiles), they decide to do things old school and meet on the same train journey in two weeks. Then, the pandemic hits…
