Game of Thrones Season 8 (probably) filming at Linen Mills Studios

Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently filming at full speed, and we have had some rapid set updates these days. While the Winterfell set at Moneyglass was in focus lately, followed by the giant King’s Landing set at Titanic Studios, Belfast, Northern Ireland. We recently took a look at the Linen Mills Studios nearby, that could see a return in Season 8, and it seems like that could be happening without much ado, already. Read on!

Now, we have had a lot of coverage about the major filming locations, but it seems like filming could be going on low key in some of the locations, most importantly Linen Mills Studios at Corbet-Banbridge. This location has been used previously for quite a few Game of Thrones locations, ranging from Riverrun to Three-eyed Raven‘s cave. We have recently spotted the tell-tale pink signs at this location, which usually mean that Game of Thrones is either filming or about to film there, and now we have an aerial shot of the area thanks to a Redditor, which shows a production set-up near Saintfield:

This is the same location where the Season 6 Battle of the Bastards was filmed, followed by a Season 7 filming round which was a small scene in the woods, for the Godswood scene. The production set-up looks low-key, so it’s likely that the Season 8 bit will be low profile as well. Likely Winterfell, since there seems to be some fake snow around.
