Game of Thrones Season 8 filming begins on the Winterfell set

Game of Thrones is currently filming Season 8, and while we don’t know if it will air anytime soon, there is one thing we know, and that’s set updates! Thanks to a few inquisitive fans, we have been getting updates about the filming of Season 8, and we have one more now! Filming has begun on the outdoors Winterfell set. Read on!

Filming currently in Moneyglass (Winterfell Set). A lot of extras on site. a lot of trucks and Cars going in and out. @WiCnet @WatchersOTWall

The filming at Moneyglass is going on in full swing, with the upgraded set with added walls and reinforcements. There’s sufficient activity on the set now to prove that filming is on!

Moving on, the set on which the Viserion death scene was filmed, has cleared out :

While on the other hand the giant set near Titanic Studios that we have been talking about, is getting even bigger. We still don’t know what purpose it will serve :

There’s a good chance it will fill in for King’s Landing, since that is likely to be the location in focus next season.
