Game of Thrones has had a magnificent cast over the years, and some of the cast members for whom the series was their first big break, have since gotten opportunities to join some pretty big projects. One of such cast members is Oona Chaplin, who you might remember as Talisa Maegyr, the nurse with whom Robb Stark (Richard Madden) hopelessly falls in love with. What many fans might not know is that Oona is related to the legendary silent-film actor Charlie Chaplin, and she is going to star in a project focusing on his life.

Canada’s CBC and the UK’s BBC are working together on a trio of podcasts, one of which involves Game of Thrones actress Oona Chaplin exploring J. Edgar Hoover’s obsession with her grandfather, silent movie star Charlie Chaplin, and his campaign to root out Communism in Hollywood. The podcasts are named Chaplin’s BBC Audio Wales-produced Hollywood Outcasts, Antica Productions and Telltale Industries’ The Bait, and BBC Scotland Productions’ The Billion Dollar Goldmine Scam.

Hollywood Outcasts will see the Spanish-British actress, known for roles in Game of Thrones and Taboo, looking at how Hoover’s determination to stop perceived Hollywood Communism centered around her grandfather Charlie Chaplin and guide listeners through the notorious House Un-American Activities Committee hearings and the ‘Hollywood blacklist.’
