Game of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau says House of The Dragon teaser trailer felt “very familiar”

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2022. With the series currently in post-production, we can expect the official full trailer to drop anytime soon, especially since the premiere is right around the corner. House of The Dragon will be here in August, and HBO recently released a second teaser trailer featuring the dragons for the first time. The excitement amongst the fans is through the roof, and even the Game of Thrones celebs are looking forward to seeing it.
Game of Thrones alum Nikolaj Coster-Waldau talked to PEOPLE while attending the Cannes Film Festival about how he felt when watching the new teaser trailer for House of The Dragon. He replied, “I know it’s probably going to be weird. Well, I’ve seen the trailer. It seems very familiar. Miguel [Sapochnik], who’s the showrunner, directed some of the big episodes in Game of Thrones. So, I have a feeling it’s going to be quite surreal to watch it.”
He continued, “The new series has an incredible cast. I hope they’ll have all the success.”
Coster-Waldau played Jaime Lannister on Game of Thrones for nearly decade and has previously said he is looking forward to watching the prequel. Are you excited about House of The Dragon? Talk to us in the comments below!
