Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) to star in upcoming action-adventure ‘Red One’




Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju who played the character of Tormund in the series is all set to star in an upcoming film, Red One. The film is being directed and produced by Jake Kasdan and is written by Fast and Furious’ writer Chris Morgan based on a story conceived by Hiram Garcia.

What is Red One about?

While the plot details are still under wraps, the producer of the film Hiram Garcia said in an interview with Deadline, “Red One is incredibly special to me and a story I’ve wanted to tell for years. An epic, edge-of- your seat, action-adventure that takes beloved holiday mythology and turns it on its head. I’m thrilled to have our Seven Bucks team join forces with Amazon to bring this fun Holiday tale to life for a global audience.”

Who is in the cast of Red One?

Along with Kristofer Hivju, there are some big names in that cast that include Chris Evans who will portray Jack O’Malley, Dwayne Johnson who will portray Callum Drift and in addition to this, the film will also star J.K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, Bonnie Hunt, Kiernan Shipka, Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Wesley Kimmel.

When will Red One release?

According to the recent set photos, it has been confirmed that the film has wrapped production. Dwayne Johnson shared on his Instagram a behind-the-scenes photo, that gave us a new look at his character’s red and black jumpsuit. He also confirmed that the production of the film Red One has finally been completed. The film is currently on track for a 2023 release.
