Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner announces BAFTA Awards nominations
Game of Thrones Season 6 was quite a season for the series, and it was also good enough to put it on the map, as far as awards nominations are concerned. Now, win some, lose some, Game of Thrones is still making its mark this awards season. The latest one comes for Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the show. Sophie, along with Dominic Cooper, from Preacher, had the honor of announcing the nominations for the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards, the most prestigious British awards.
Sophie shone brightly at the Golden Globes recently, with her best bud Maisie Williams, on the red carpet, and had her own blast at the after-party, but her being selected to announce the BAFTA nominations just adds another bright star to the good run that she has been having lately. Check out the video of the nominations being announced by the pair, below :
Sophie Turner also recently said that she was happy when asked about her relationship with DNCE frontman Joe Jonas. Talking about her acting career, she had s chance to play Jean Grey in the 2016 X-Men movie titles X-Men : Apocalypse, and is set to take on more projects in 2017, in addition to the remainder of Game of Thrones, in which we expect her character to develop even further than it already has.
The BAFTA Awards ceremony will be held on the 12th of February this year, and Broadcast on BBC One. You can read the full list of nominations, here.
