Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju to play ancient Atlantean King in new Justice League movie
We’re all clearly aware of the fact that Game of Thrones is a highly popular and loved show, and the characters are even more adored by fans. When we see more of them in any other show or movie, it only makes us more interested. Something of that sort has just gone down, according to what reports reveal. Kristopher Hivju, the actor who plays Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones is wildly popular for his endearing yet tough role as Tormund, and now more recently due to the fact that fans want the Brienne and Tormund ship to sail. His popularity has been increasing since the time he was introduced on the show, and now he’s also doing some kickass movies.
We already know that he’s going to play a major role in the eighth movie of the Fast and Furious franchise, but now he’s set to play a vital role in another movie, that is DC’s Justice League. If reports are to be believed, Hivju will be playing an ancient Atlantean King in the movie, who will control one of the three Mother Boxes that the plot of Justice League essentially revolves around. The Atlantean King is known as King Orin, who rules the Atlantis at the time it sank into the ocean initially. His title is later inherited by Aquaman, who is played by another popular Game of Thrones character, Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo).
Hivju made Tormund quite an interesting character on Game of Thrones, and we’d love to see him doing other movies and shows that display his awesome acting abilities. Also, we wouldn’t mind a bit more of Brienne and Tormund in the next episode, if the showrunners are listening.
