Game of Thrones actor Darren Kent passed away at 36

Game of Thrones was not only the biggest show of the century, but it also gave many people a huge family and a way of life for more than ten years. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that the cast, crew, and viewers all find difficult to forget. Recently, an important part of the Game of Thrones family passed away after a prolonged battle with illness.

Darren Kent dies at 36

Actor Darren Kent, known for his appearances as a Goatherd from Slavers Bay in Game of Thrones and other minor parts in EastEnders and Snow White and the Huntsman, has passed away at the age of 36. His talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, announced his passing on Tuesday in a Tweet, which said:

“It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully on Friday. His parents and best friend [were] by his side. Our thoughts and love are with his family in this difficult time. RIP my friend.”

In 2012, Kent earned the Van D’or Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Danny in the movie Sunny kid, a young kid with a rare skin ailment who was unable to be in the sun. In addition to osteoporosis and arthritis, Kent also struggled with a skin condition like his on-screen persona.

Kent had an appearance in the Season 4 finale of HBO’s epic fantasy series “The Children,” when his character shows his daughter’s scorched body as a result of her dragons in Daenerys’ royal room in Slaver’s Bay. The episode ended with Daenerys locking up her two surviving dragons to prevent them from wreaking havoc on her recently acquired territory.
