Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been at each other’s throats for years now. The former couple has garnered a lot of press attention due to the recent revelation that all was not what it seemed back then. This case showed an ugly side of a toxic relationship as well as a biased society, and proved men can be victims of domestic violence too. The Depp-Heard trial has become the prime focus of media ever since they went public, and is being viewed by about 10 million people on a daily basis on Youtube alone.

Even before Depp filed the $50 million lawsuit against Heard, there was a fan petition that gathered signatures to get Heard fired from the Aquaman franchise. Their solution? Replace Amber Heard with Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, who shares an excellent on-screen and off-screen chemistry with Aquaman lead Jason Momoa. In fact, there was an amazing deepfake back then that showed how Clarke would look in skintight spandex, and the result was breathtaking.

After the recent hearings slowly getting ticked in Johnny Depp’s favour, fans have once again resumed demanding the removal of Heard as Mera. And the most popular replacement is once again our beloved Mother of Dragons Emilia Clarke. The petition has already achieved a milestone, officially surpassing 2 million signatures. And the recent posts on Twitter only show a renewed enthusiasm toward the cause.
