Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is the most hyped show of 2022. So far it has checked out all the parameters that were placed before its premiere. One of them being the casting of actors for various roles, and just like its predecessor, House of The Dragon has managed to impress the audience in that field as well. Two of the most beloved new castings of the series after the last time jump in episode 8, Ewan Mitchell and Phia Saban, who play Aemond and Helaena Targaryen respectively, have previously worked together on the popular historical show, The Last Kingdom.
Ewan Mitchell played the role of Osferth, one of the main characters in The Last Kingdom television series. He was the bastard son of the King of the Wessex, Alfred, and a serving girl named Eadgyth. His existence was an embarrassment to his father, who ironically identified himself to be deeply religious. Osferth was enrolled as a novice monk He wanted to be a warrior, hence he later denounces the church and joins Uhtred in his war efforts.
Phia Saban played the role of Ælfwynn of Mercia, a supporting character in the fifth season of The Last Kingdom television series. She is the daughter of Lady Æthelflæd and Lord Æthelred. She becomes the bride of King Constantin of Alba in Season 5.
