Emilia Clarke claims that ‘Secret Invasion’ will not require viewers to watch previous Marvel Films
Emilia Clarke former Game of Thrones actor has been cast in a Marvel TV ‘Secret Invasion.’ According to her, the TV Show will not require viewers to watch any other previous Marvel Films or TV Shows, which sounds interesting considering how deeply the Marvel Cinematic Universe is connected. Let’s take a detailed look at what she had to say!
Secret Invasion will not require viewers to watch previous Marvel Films
Emilia said that Secret Invasion does not suffer from the problem of having to tie into any other project in the MCU and she also claims that the TV show is very standalone in nature. While the show is being made accessible for everyone, the show will still feature some Easter eggs for longtime MCU fans.
In an interview with Empire Magazine, Emilia said, “It’s definitely a show for the fans, but it’s also a show that my mum, who doesn’t watch Marvel, will watch and get, do you know what I mean? You can get into dangerous territory sometimes with this sort of genre where if you haven’t watched all 17 other films or shows, you’re not going to get it. This isn’t that at all.”
What will Secret Invasion be about?
In case you aren’t aware of Secret Invasion, the show will see Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) joins forces with Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who will race against time to prevent an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity. It has also been confirmed that the show will have six hour-long episodes and will air weekly on Disney Plus.
What is Emilia Clarke doing now?
Outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Emilia Clarke is also said to next appear in ‘McCarthy‘, where she will play Jean Kerr, the wife of Joseph McCarthy. Along with that, she will also appear in ‘An Ideal Wife‘, which will be directed by Sophie Hyde.
