Brewery Ommegang announces a Jon Snow themed beer as a part of the ‘Royal Reserve Collection’
The final Season of Game of Thrones is airing somewhere around the first half of 2019. Although, we might have to wait for months, yet one or the other great news about this epic TV series makes this wait for much more enjoyable. Well, the awesome news that we bring today is that Brewery Ommegangalong with HBO has recently announced the final addition to its Royal Reserve Collection of Game of Thrones-themed beverages.
Ommegang had previously announced three other beverages in the collection namely –Hand of the Queen, a barleywine (named after Tyrion Lannister), Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, a sour blonde blend (named after Cersei Lannister), and Mother of Dragons, a deep ruby-tinted mahogany (named after Daenerys Targaryen).
Well, the final addition to the Royal Reserve Collection is named King in the North, as we had previously guessed. Inspired by Jon Snow, King in the North is the fourth and the final beer of the collection. It is a barrel-aged imperial stout which will be available from November 23, at a cost of $12.99.
According to Doug Campbell, the President of Brewery Ommegang:
“There was only one character with whom we could end the Royal Reserve Collection…I don’t think we’re alone in our hopes for Jon Snow. And for those who missed one of the Collections during the year, we’re pleased to offer the opportunity to get all four at once, along with a glass in which to serve them.”
Also, Jeff Peters, vice president of licensing & retail at HBO said, “We’ve now arrived at our fourth and final Royal Reserve beer which celebrates Jon Snow with a big, bold, barrel-aged stout for the long cold nights to come. We expect this one to bring our fans to their feet to toast the King in the North!”
Infused with the rich aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bourbon, and vanilla, King in the North tastes the best with aged cheeses, dark meats, and decadent desserts. It also makes a great dessert on its own – as Brewery Ommegang describes.
“Here’s again hoping that when the day arrives we all enjoy the ultimate season with one of the four bottles in our hands!!!”
So, out of these four beverages in the Royal Reserve Collection, which one would make Tyrion Lannister’s phrase ‘Rich as a Lannister’ true for you? Tell us in the comments.
