Game of Thrones wasn’t just the biggest show of the century, it was a huge family and a way of life for so many people for nearly a decade. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, something that not only the fans but the cast and the crew find hard to move away from. Many of the cast and crew members are still in touch with each other, and often describe how filming together was the best thing about their experience. Game of Thrones alum and The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey recently opened up about how close she was to her Thrones co-stars.

Who amongst the Game of Thrones cast was closest to Bella Ramsey?

In a recent interview with GQ, Ramsey recalled her early days on Game of Thrones. She said, “[The cast] were very, very kind to me. The one who really sticks out to me is Liam Cunningham, who played Davos. He really was protective over me.” Maybe Cunningham got that from her time bonding with Kerry Ingram, who played Shireen Baratheon in earlier seasons of Game of Thrones.

Has Bella Ramsey really never watched Game of Thrones?

Ramsey went on to clarify if she was barred from watching the HBO hit. “That was completely misinterpreted,” she said. “I’d seen a lot of [seasons] six, seven and eight by that point. The earlier seasons I’ve seen bits of.”

Did Bella Ramsey read what fans say about her casting in The Last of Us?

A lot of the negative comments did affect her mental health. “You’re looking for a comment that’s more painful than the last one,” she said. “I’d kid myself that I was doing it in jest.” Apparently, a lot of the comments were directed at her appearance.
