Bella Ramsey quits Twitter with a farewell message for their “gay army”

Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey won millions of hearts playing the young and brave Lyanna Mormont on the HBO fantasy epic, even though their role was short-lived. They accurately portrayed the proud and quirky young warrior as she stabbed a giant wight during her last battle at Winterfell. Ramsey recently announced their departure from Twitter amidst the ‘blue tick’ controversy that went viral over the internet.

On April 21, Ramsey wrote a final message for their followers on Twitter before announcing they won’t be using the platform anymore. They posted a GIF of Ellie from The Last of Us saying goodbye with the following caption:

“Twitter it’s been fun. My account will still be active for now but I will not be on here! Thank you my gay army and all the rest. Love you.”

On her latest visit to The Jonathan Ross Show, Bella Ramsey talked about the approximate release date of Season 2 of The Last of Us. She/they said, “It will be a while. I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, the beginning of next. So it’ll probably be the end of 2024, early 2025.”

The Last of Us showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann recently chatted with GQ Magazine after the finale of Season 1 aired on Sunday and talked about the upcoming season and the cliffhanger finale. They hinted that the second season was going to take at least two years to film, with Mazin teasing the fans saying, “I’m okay with that. That’s the anger of desire and anticipation.”
