Following the Christmas and New Year, the awards season has commenced. Unlike the previous year, HBO did not have many contenders in the awards race this time. Even 2022’s winner House of the Dragon languished in the backwaters. But for those who care about the glam and glow of red carpets, the 82nd Golden Globes did not disappoint, as both Emma D’Arcy and Tom Glynn-Carney graced the scene.

At the 82nd Golden Globes this year, Emma D’Arcy was nominated for Best Television Actress in a Drama Series for their portrayal of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen in House Season 2. Notably, this was the sole nomination for House of the Dragon at this year’s Golden Globes. They were up against Kathy Bates (Matlock), Maya Erskine (Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Keira Knightley (Black Doves), Keri Russell (The Diplomat) and Anna Sawai (Shōgun). Sawai was ultimately declared the winner.

Tom Glynn-Carney hasn’t received the scripts for House of the Dragon Season 3 yet

Along with D’Arcy, their House of the Dragon co-star Tom Glynn-Carney also attended the 82nd Golden Globe Awards. On being asked about the upcoming third season by CBS Mornings, Carney replied:

“He’s on a new chapter. I think he is a way more focused, driven version of Aegon that we’ve seen. I haven’t actually read the season 3 scripts yet, so it’s difficult to say what they have discussed, and you know, what they’ve decided on. But yeah, I’m sure there’s a lot to come. I had a little chat about the arc, you know, and how excited I should be about taking it on. So yeah, I think we’ll see a different version of him.”
