Ned Stark is one of the most beloved characters in the Game of Thrones universe. Although the character was killed off over a decade ago in the first season, his presence has remained significant throughout the entire series. With a plethora of Game of Thrones spinoffs currently in the making, one might wonder if we will ever see Ned again. Sebastian Croft, who played a young Ned Stark in Game of Thrones in two episodes of Season 6, is open to playing the character once more.

Quick read:

  • Sebastian Croft played a young Ned Stark in Game of Thrones Season 6 Episodes 2 & 5.
  • Croft would love to return as Ned Stark.
  • Sean Bean is also open to his return to Westeros.

Sebastian Croft hopes to return to Westeros

Actor Sebastian Croft portrayed a pre-teen Eddard Stark in Season 6 of Game of Thrones, when Bran is wading through the past using the Three-eyed Raven’s power. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, on being asked if he’d like to return as Ned, Croft said,

“Oh my God, of course. Are you kidding?. It’s such a wonderful show and world and to even in a small way feel like a Stark is still something that’s cool. I think Ned is such an interesting character. What he becomes, where you meet him in Season 1 of Game of Thrones, where he is at his maybe greatest, and what his journey towards that was, I think would be very interesting. If someone wants to make it, I’m here and I will do it. That sounds awesome.”

Prior to Croft, Sean Bean, who played the adult version of Ned Stark, also expressed a desire to return to Winterfell. He said,

It’s always nice to think that you could be involved in some way in such a great series, something that became worldwide. I don’t think at the time, we knew with Lord of the Rings how big that was going to turn out, and it was the same with Game of Thrones. If I’m ever asked again, it would be nice to be involved in some way.”
