After the Game of Thrones finale debacle, no one thought that a spinoff based on George R. R. Martin‘s books had a good chance to fly. Ryan Condal proved them all wrong with his House of the Dragon, which is why he has been listed among the most powerful producers this year.

Despite the season 2 backlash and disagreements with George R. R. Martin, Ryan Condal made it to the list for House of the Dragon’s success and for also heading A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as an executive producer. He answered a few questions for THR like:

Advice for my younger self: “Don’t take it so seriously. It’ll be fine. Have more fun. Enjoy the little victories. Travel. Write more specs.”

Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss are also on the list

David Benioff and D. B. Weiss made a comeback with their show 3 Body Problem on Netflix. While fans mostly remember them for the Game of Thrones Season 8 mishap, THR recognized them for their efforts with the sci-fi series. Together with Alexander Woo, their work managed to grab an impressive 52 million views. On being asked by THR the last thing they watched that made them jealous, the trio replied:

Woo “Taskmaster.”
