The Freys debut in House of the Dragon, marking arrival of crucial Fire & Blood character
We might see a warrior widow very soon.
The Freys have been an important House in Game of Thrones, becoming infamous after Walder Frey’s Red Wedding incident. However, we will see the family in a different light in House of the Dragon, as they will be siding with Rhaenyra in Dance of the Dragons. Moreover, an important Frey will be joining the show soon.
Jacaerys meets up with Freys in House of the Dragon
In House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 5, we see Jacaerys at The Twins working hard rallying the Freys in the Blacks’ war efforts. He manages to convince Lord Forrest Frey and his wife, Sabitha, to join his cause. The Freys will be a decisive factor in the upcoming battles in House of the Dragon.
Who is Sabitha Frey?
Following Lord Forrest’s death in the Battle by the Lakeshore, Sabitha, his widow, carried on House Frey’s advocacy for the Blacks. It took Lady Sabitha three days to take control of Harrenhal after Ser Criston Cole and Prince Aemond Targaryen had left. Sabitha fled from Vhagar’s dragonflame by hiding in a toilet until Aemond returned without warning. And she went back to the Twins.
In the Second Battle of Tumbleton, Sabitha summoned her paternal House Vypren to accompany Ser Addam Velaryon, and she took part in the Battle of the Kingsroad. During the campaign, Alysanne Blackwood and Sabitha shared a tent. As the women marched onto King’s Landing alongside the Lads, the people of the capital greeted them with open arms.
She would go on to support the Blacks right until Aegon III’s succession.
