House Casterly was likely a key part of cancelled “Bloodmoon” Game of Thrones prequel
After nearly ten years on the air, Game of Thrones came to an end, but HBO wasted little time in developing additional Westeros-set dramas. Under the working title “Bloodmoon,” the first authorized prequel series to the program had started filming.
However, after filming the pilot episode, it was scrapped. However, along with the leaks, information about the series has been making the rounds online, and it’s very interesting.
More pictures from canceled prequel Bloodmoon
Years after the Game of Thrones spinoff was shelved, pictures and clips from the canceled prequel Bloodmoon have been leaked. The most recent ones, shared by the Twitter account Westerosies, provide another look at Naomi Watts in costume, most likely as a Casterly. The background also gives a hint at a wedding supposed to take place between a Casterly and a Stark.
We had earlier reported about a Lannister-Stark marriage to be seen in Bloodmoon, but it appears that we might have been wrong about that.

Bloodmoon was based eons before Game of Thrones, set right after the Golden Age of Heroes. Before the Lannisters came into existence, House Casterly ruled over the Casterly Rock, and was the most affluent House in Westeros. Naomi Watts most likely played an important Casterly noble, with a dark secret she had been hiding from the world.
