Richard Madden nominates Citadel co-star Priyanka Chopra to be the next Daenerys

When you look at a story, you read about a character, you picture in your mind who would be perfect for that role. Game of Thrones was famous for its on-point casting. Actress Emilia Clarke was perfect as the Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen. However, Clarke has made it pretty clear she is done with the character. Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark in the show, already knows who can replace Clarke as the new Daenerys, if the character ever returns in future spinoffs.
Richard Madden thinks Priyanka Chopra can play Daenerys
In a recent interview with India Today on his promotional tour for his upcoming TV show Citadel, Madden was asked to assign his co-star Priyanka Chopra a Game of Thrones role. His immediate response was “Daenerys Targaryen“. He explained his choice saying it was because “she is so powerful.”
What does Priyanka Chopra think about playing Daenerys?
When Chopra was asked what Game of Thrones role she would like to play, she agreed with Madden, “I will take Daenerys. I mean Emilia Clarke was so good. No one can do how she did it but yes, I would love that.”
What is the release date for Citadel?
Citadel will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on April 28. 2023. The first two episodes will be available to stream on the first day, following which the episodes will be released weekly.
