House of The Dragon Season 2 finale is currently being written, says writer Sara Hess

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon season 1 finished its run last month and received an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers and critics. Some have even labeled it as being better than the first season of Game of Thrones. The making of the first season took a lot of hard work, planning, patience, coordination between various departments, and a big budget. The series has already been renewed for a second season, and production will begin in Spain starting very soon in 2023.
The writing for the second season of House of The Dragon is already in progress, as confirmed by the show’s writer Sara Hess. In a recent interview with Variety, she revealed, “We are currently writing the finale of Season 2. I don’t think you will be disappointed.”
She also teased the Blood and Cheese plot of the Dance of The Dragons, which will surely make several supporters of the Blacks question their allegiance. In Season 1 Episode 8, Helaena mumbles, “Beware the beast beneath the boards.” Many fans had speculated it to be Rhaenys’ glorious escape from the Dragonpit. While many others claim it is actually the Blood and Cheese storyline she is referring to.
