The third episode of House of The Dragon is finally here! After an excruciatingly long wait of a week, the most recent episode of the Game of Thrones prequel, titled Second of His Name, premiered a few minutes ago. And it is just as good as the earlier episodes.

Time moves a lot faster than it did ahead of the second episode, The Rogue Prince. The series moves forward by three years, indicating a lot has happened in that time frame. Now there’s another heir competing for the Iron Throne, thanks to Alicent’s betrothal to King Viserys in the last episode, fulfilling Otto Hightower’s wishes. The title of the episode, Second of His Name, is a reference to Aegon II Targaryen, Viserys’ newborn heir through Alicent. Otto now has a more legit claim to the Iron Throne, and pushes his grandson to be the next heir.

King Viserys is having second thoughts, as the birth of a healthy son draws a lot of attention. Everyone in the council wants the newborn child to be named the new heir, which stresses Viserys to force Rhaenyra into marrying. Rhaenyra, visibly hurt, storms out, with Ser Criston Cole following her.

Time has moved forward at The Stepstones, as Daemon and Corlys are still fighting for a hold in the pirate-infested isle, now in control of the Triarchy. The Crabfeeder is giving them a really hard time, as additional forces from Dorne now joining his fray.

The situation is now tenser than ever. What do you think of the third episode, Second of His Name? Tell us in the comments below!
