House of The Dragon Episode 1 scores a solid 9 rating on IMDb
Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon was the most anticipated TV show of 2022. When it finally arrived an hour ago, it broke the internet with its amazing plot, resounding dialogues, down-to-earth characters, and of course, the dragons. The World Premiere had already received a lot of positivity during its reception, with critics labeling it as a worthy successor of Game of Thrones. And it seems the viewers’ reaction walks in line with their observation.
The first episode of House of The Dragon has been rated 9/10 on IMDb, one of the best openings to any television series to date. The rating was earlier a full 10, which came down a notch after the premiere, but still maintained a solid 9 after being rated by over 5.4k viewers as of now.
House of The Dragon’s first episode was leaked a day before the scheduled release date, sparking a bit of chaos in the HBO realm. But it seems it has had little effect on its success, with the reviews being overwhelmingly positive. It is very likely that HBO exec Casey Bloys was onto something, when he had a “good feeling” about House of The Dragon earlier this year, and George R. R. Martin’s dreams of a faithful adaptation might finally be coming true.
