Awards season is back, and Game of Thrones is doing O.K. While we aren’t seeing the show rake in its usual supersized figures of award nominations this year around, it’s still leaving its prints. Today, the nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards a.k.a the SAG Awards were announced, and Game of Thrones bagged three. Read on!
Like we had recently reported, Game of Thrones got one nomination at the Golden Globes, followed by four at the Critics’ Choice Awards. The SAG awards have now given the show three more.
Game of Thrones picked two ensemble nominations, one for the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series category, and the other in the Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series. The third nomination came for Peter Dinklage in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series category. He has already won an Emmy for his Season 8 performance.
