Lena Headey spotted filming in brand new costume with a major Game of Thrones character

Game of Thrones Season 8 filming has sped up quite a lot in the last couple of weeks. The production has now moved to Dubrovnik, Croatia where it has begun the next lot of shooting. We recently reported about major stars like Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and possibly Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) filming in the city, but now we have a major scoop. Brand new pictures now show Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) filming at Dubrovnik, and with none other than Kit Harington himself! Read on!

We had reported about filming being carried on at a previously unused Dubrovnik location, named Minčeta Tower. The new pictures show filming being carried on at the Bokar Fortress, with a Lannister flag flying above it, which means Cersei is still in control of King’s Landing:

The Queen seems to have gotten a brand new costume, as well:

She seems to be missing her crown, though. We had also talked aboutHafþór Júlíus Björnsson (The Mountain) had posted a picture from Dubrovnik, and now he has been spotted filming as well:

Now, we had talked about director David Nutter being in Dubrovnik, and he is set to direct episodes 1,2 and 4, and now he has been spotted on the sets in action, with showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss:

Now, there might be a big indicator of why this particular bit of filming might be from episode 4. Kit Harington was spotted filming one on one with Lena Headey, and since Jon Snow is headed North at the end of Season 7, he is unlikely to be back in King’s Landing in the first two episodes.
