Outlander star Graham McTavish confirms playing a role on House of The Dragon
Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has created a huge hype amongst fantasy lovers. HBO is leaving no stones unturned in the marketing of the fantasy series. In the past few days, they’ve released several photos of some of the key characters in costume. Recently, one more important cast member has come under the attention of the Game of Thrones community. The Hobbit and Outlander star Graham McTavish’s Wikipedia Filmography has been updated to include House of The Dragon. And he himself has confirmed the news today.
In an interview with Stylist, McTavish revealed he has been having fun on the set. He said, “I’m enjoying that, yes. I’m really having a lot of fun. We’ve just started. It’s a very big project, so we’re getting to know each other. They’re lovely people. It’s great, but I can’t tell you too much. I can’t tell you really anything about the story! But it involves a lot dragons.”

Sam Heughan, who was with McTavish during the interview, joked: “Am I in it?”
Laughing, McTavish replied: “So far, no. And I have been waiting… I have to say ‘Where is Sam?’ because it’s always in my contract now.”
However, he didn’t say anything about what character he will be playing. Are you excited about House of The Dragon? Who do you think McTavish will play on the show? Tell us in the comments below!
When we hear the word ‘Sitcom’, the television series Friends is the first to pop up to our attention. The show has become a pop culture icon over the decade, just like Game of Thrones. It manages to still make us laugh even after several rewatches. Well, good news has finally arrived for the fans of the popular sitcom. HBO has set Thursday, May 27 for the long-awaited Friends: The Reunion special on HBO Max. What’s even better? Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will have a cameo in it!
The date also happens to be the one-year anniversary of the WarnerMedia streaming platform’s launch. The show was originally set to be one of the launch specials for HBO Max’s launch last year but the shooting was delayed by the pandemic.
The special features Friends stars Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), and David Schwimmer (Ross) who return to the comedy’s original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank for a real-life unscripted celebration of the beloved show.
A slew of A-list celebrity guests will appear on the special including David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington and many more. Are you excited about Friends: The Reunion? Talk to us in the comments below!
HBO has created a huge hype amongst fantasy lovers with the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon. The cast and the crew were spotted filming at various locations in Cornwall. Well, it looks like a great opportunity for Game of Thrones fans has recently come up in the news. You can now live at St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall, and get paid for it.
St Michael’s Mount is one of the UK’s most iconic and recognisable landmarks. The island with a castle perched on top is currently being used as a filming location for the Games of Thrones prequel. It’s run by the National Trust and St Aubyn Estates – and they are looking for a new Castle Officer. They have now advertised the full-time position – and it has a ‘live-in’ requirement.
On the downside, you’ll have to clean toilets and you can get stranded at high tide. Getting takeaways delivered will prove to be a bit problematic. If that hasn’t put you off, the role will have a focus on providing support to the Castle Steward.
Current Castle steward Duncan Murdoch told the BBC: “The best thing about living here is having a sea view from every window. The worst thing is not being able to get a pizza delivered to your door.”
If you are interested in the role you are asked to send a CV and a short covering statement to [email protected] Tell us what you think about the job in the comments below!
HBO is moving really fast with the filming of Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon. The show is expected to premiere in 2022. Meanwhile, the co-showrunner of the series Miguel Sapochnik’s Tom Hanks starring project has taken a major turn. While it was originally called Bios and set for theatrical release this August, it has now changed its title to Finch and has a new release date and outlet.
Originally, Bios was being released by Universal. Now Finch will be released on Apple TV+. The film is produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment which held an auction for the film over the weekend, according to Deadline. Apple won the auction and plans on releasing the film later this year so it can be in contention for awards.
Finch is about a robotic engineer (Hanks) who survives an apocalyptic event by staying in a bunker for a decade. In that time, he designs a robot (voiced by Caleb Landry Jones) who can take care of the man’s dog, Goodyear, after the man dies. So basically it’s about a man, a dog, and his robot, learning to co-exist and live in a post-apocalyptic world where they’re some of the last beings around.
Sapochnik has teamed up with Hanks and Spielberg’s company to capture the film. Are you excited about Finch? Talk to us in the comments below!
