Emilia Clarke gives her take about what Drogon did with Daenerys’ body
Game of Thrones’ final season left the audience with a lot of unanswered questions. Ever since the show wrapped up filming, fans have been wondering about one such question, the fate of Daenerys Targaryen’s body.
Entertainment Weekly editor James Hibberd’s book Fire Cannot Kill A Dragon tries to answer a few of these questions. It contains details of interviews with the cast and crew, who reveal previously unknown facts about the show. One such vis-à-vis with Emilia Clarke described her views on what Daenerys’ last dragon did with her body.
“People have asked me about that a lot, It’s my tendency to be funny with it and say, ‘Oh, Hawaii.’ But honestly, if I’m really being very serious about the whole thing: I think he flies around with her body until it decomposes. I literally think he keeps flying until he can’t fly anymore. He just keeps grieving.”
This bit of information brings to mind a bit of peace for many Game of Thrones fans since there was no clear answer about the fate of Daenerys Targaryen’s remains.
The finale was a shocker for viewers all around the world as they witnessed her transformation into the Mad Queen. Her death by Jon Snow’s blade was unexpected for the Game of Thrones community worldwide.
The book discloses more secrets about the show, both on and off-screen. This includes details about the show’s botched pilot episode. What do you think of Emilia’s take on Drogon’s actions? Let us know in the comments below!
