Game of Thrones producer apologizes for the Starbucks cup mistake
Game of Thrones is a show that has been of great quality, especially with regards to production. That is exactly why it became quite the hot topic when fans spotted a Starbucks cup in the shot of the latest episode — Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 4, “The Last of the Starks“. Now, an executive producer on the show has acknowledged and apologized for the goof. Read on!
The Starbucks cup appeared in a shot where we see Tormund Giantsbane bantering with Jon Snow, as Daenerys sits in the background. The cup appeared next to Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys. Game of Thrones executive producer Bernie Caulfield recently acknowledged the mistake in an interview with WNYC Radio.
“We’re sorry!”, Bernie said. She said that such a mistake is uncommon for the show, adding the show’s “prop people and decorators are so, you know, so on it 1,000 percent”. She also added that “if that’s the worst thing they’re finding, then we’re in good shape.”
The goof wasn’t really taken seriously by anybody and became an instant meme. Carrying the same attitude, Bernie joked saying “Westeros was the first place to actually, you know, have Starbucks.” HBO and Starbucks have both joined in on the joke, too:

TBH we’re surprised she didn’t order a Dragon Drink.

Caulfield also joked saying “Starbucks, send us money!” since this was quite a valuable slot of free advertisement for the brand. What do you guys think of this? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
Real-life is often different from reel life. The celebrities we idolize often face regular problems like normal people. We might want a life like theirs, but ignore the struggles they had to face. For example, Game of Thrones macho man Jason Momoa. Though he appears fearsome as Khal Drogo and majestic as Aquaman on-screen, he’s completely different in real life. The 41-year-old actor recently opened up about his life off-screen in an interview with Men’s Health magazine.
The Game of Thrones star revealed, “I may look big and tough, but I’m not. I’m nothing like Khal Drogo. I’m not even the king of my own house! I’m absolutely terrified of my wife.”
Momoa loves his family. He said, “We’ve all gotten so much closer. My wife is very sophisticated and smart and our kids and I are kind of like animals that need to be trained a little better. I’m constantly a work in progress, and I’ve just been trying to get better as a father and a husband.”
Jason has been through a lot, without letting anyone know about his troubles. He recently revealed in an interview how his family was facing financial troubles after Game of Thrones. It is tough to imagine someone as popular as he went broke. Things got better for him after the Justice League.

Game of Thrones achieved great success and popularity in the past decade. The show set the bar for television series in terms of its story, scenery, CGI and battle scenes. However, it was also famous for another reason, a collection of well-built, tight and ripped bodies on-set. They caused awe amongst the audience, even encouraging them to get their own set of 6-pack-abs. Game of Thrones’ handsome hunk Jason Momoa, shared his secrets to a fit body with Men’s Health magazine.
The 41-year-old actor revealed his workout regime in an interview with the renowned magazine. However, he was terrified of doing Yoga. He said, “So I tried yoga the other day, and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I’d rather squat a car. Climbing El Capitan would be easier than doing two hours of yoga. I can’t bend over anymore! My hamstrings are so tight. It’s pathetic.”
Momoa added, “I was in a yoga class with these older ladies in Topanga and everyone was just holding their arms up and I was like, ‘This is so hard!’”.
He also talked about his love for outdoor activities, “I rock climb a lot. Maybe I’m an ape. I love the way it feels. I like being upside down. I always loved climbing trees as a kid and swinging in the breeze.”
Momoa had revealed how his family was facing financial troubles in an interview earlier. What do you think of Momoa’s regime? Tell us in the comments below!
It is always fun to see our favourite actors play out radically different roles. Iain Glenn, who played the honourable and heroic Ser Jorah Mormont, was seen playing a not-so-heroic role in The Racer.
Directed by Kieron J Walsh, the movie circles around a series of scandals that took place at the 1998 Tour de France. The film was the opening film for the Cork International Film Festival. Though fictional, The Racer shows the dangerous lengths teams will go to for a competitive edge. Iain Glen plays the team’s Mr Fixit with the syringes and vials.
Iain Glenn talked to the Irish Examiner about the movie, “I studied documentaries and a couple of films just to get to know the world it occupied. What drew me to the script was it didn’t hold back its punches. I thought it was a very frank and honest, quite a wry, insightful look at a particularly bad period for drug abuse within the sport.”
He continued, “That tour became known as the Tour de Drugs because of the amount of drugs that were going down at the time. The people within the team and my character, certainly within the context of the film, didn’t have any great qualms about it – everyone was doing it and we were doing it as well. That was the norm. It’s ironic to think that (Lance) Armstrong was about to enjoy his great stretch as being the world-leading cyclist and he won so many tours in a row and this was prior to that. During Armstrong’s time, everyone thought the sport had got its act together a bit more.”
Earlier, Kit Harington was seen playing a shady role in Criminals Season 2. What do you think about the movie? Tell us in the comments below!
