Game of Thrones has a tonne of great stars, and many of them have begun their careers with the show and then gone on to do bigger and better things. One such actress is Maisie Williams, who plays the role of Arya Stark, and she has now taken it upon herself to help fellow creatives get the help they need, with the launch of her own social networking app, Daisie. Read on!
We had reported a few weeks back about Daisie, which aims to help creatives like actors, writers and more, “share original content, learn, discover and be inspired to start new conversations.”

The iTunes page description reads:

Ever since its announcement, fans all around the world are going crazy over the rumors of casting for the Game of Thrones’ prequel House of the Dragon. Fans have been debating about the best choice for The Rogue Prince, Daemon Targaryen, over the last few weeks.
The House of the Dragon series is based on George R. R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. The book covers the first 150 years of House Targaryen’s rule in Westeros. The show will be allegedly centered around The Dance of the Dragons, a civil war that happened about 170 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
The casting call for Daemon was recently published. It said that HBO seeks an actor between the ages of 40 and 50 years old. It solidifies the theory because Daemon was middle-aged when the civil war began.
The character description for Daemon is as follows:
“The younger brother to King Viserys, Daemon wasn’t born with ‘naked ambition’ for the throne despite being in line for it. He’s less methodical and more impetuous. Not to mention easily bored… stumbling from one distraction to the next with the subconscious yet singular obsession with earning the love and acceptance of his brother the king. Most of Daemon’s joy is found at sword-point. But even as the most experienced warrior of his time, he vacillates between vile and heroic, making him the true rogue of the series.”
Full offense, Patrick Wilson could play Daemon Targaryen and I’d be DELIGHTED. https://t.co/bN5gAnyWfC

Some of the fans are expressing their trust issues online, saying the casting can either make or break the show. Some common fan choices for the role are Patrick Wilson, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, and Ian Somerhalder.

Last week the world was deprived of another jewel that once shined bright over the big screen. The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of multi-talented actress, Diana Rigg. She passed away at her home on Thursday at the age of 82.
Diana was an important part of the Game of Thrones family. She played the role of wise and cunning ‘Queen of Thrones’ Lady Olenna Tyrell. Her journey began in 2013 with the introduction of the character in the series, and she made the character likeable in the common households.
Rigg’s presence is being deeply missed by her Game of Throne’s co-stars. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister on the show expressed his sentiments on Twitter.
Dame Diana Rigg . She always raised the bar with her incredible talent, intelligence and wit. An absolute joy and honor to work with. May her soul Rest In Peace https://t.co/BC4annah1H

John Bradley, who played Samwell Tarly on the show tweeted:

Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin also paid his respects :
I am late to post about this, but I was very saddened by the news of a couple recent deaths. The world of television and film lost a titan with the passing of Dame Diana Rigg. Such an amazing talent. It was such an honor to have her on GAME OF THRONES as the Queen of Thorns… pic.twitter.com/kD3R3Fl7V9

Writer for the show Bryan Cogman tweeted:
Diana. Words in a tweet can’t possibly express what an incredible honor it was to write for her, work with her on set, and get to know her. Got lots of juicy showbiz stories out of her – everything from Sondheim to George Lazenby to Kermit the Frog… (thread) pic.twitter.com/IiQ5rA1Odi

Mark Gatiss, who played Iron Banker Tycho Nestoris, said,
It was my great joy and privilege to have known Diana Rigg. From three slightly hysterical months at the Old Vic in ‘All About Mother’ to writing The Crimson Horror for Diana and her wonderful daughter Rachael. Flinty, fearless, fabulous. There will never be another. RIP pic.twitter.com/2EGc4MVx0S

Actor Flinn Jones, who played her on-screen grandson Loras Tyrell posted on his story :
Diana was a dazzling actress and a compassionate and kind human being. Her presence was comforting and inspiring for her co-stars, so was the beauty with which she executed her roles. Other than Game of Thrones, she starred in the 1960’s The Avengers, the Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and many more.
We as fans pray that her soul rests in peace. Please feel free to share your feelings with us in the comments below.
It’s not so easy to become the talk of the town, especially if you’re considering it for “good” reasons. But if you’ve been a major Game of Thrones star, and display equal parts chic and sass, the task won’t be that difficult; add to that a marriage with a popular music figure, and a newborn, and everyone wants to talk about you. We’re talking about Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas, and the newest addition to their family, their baby girl named Willa. Although Sophie and Joe have not come out on social media with the news of the baby or the name, their reps have mostly confirmed. Now, after almost three weeks since they welcomed their first child, the parents have put out a picture. It’s not with the baby, but just the couple with the ongoing trend of the Vogue Cover Challenge filter. Read on to find out more.
Joe Jonas posted a picture of himself and her wife on his Instagram story. It was a relaxed selfie of the couple displayed on a custom cover of Vogue with the caption – “Wear a mask that’s the tea”. The slogan is in line with what Sophie had said while promoting social distancing and self-isolation after Evangeline Lilly’s open disregard for the safety measures. This is the first time they’ve shared a photo since the birth of their child on July 22.
We had learned that the couple was already obsessed and couldn’t stop gloating about their new addition. But they are being super cautious too, as they should be, due to the threat of the coronavirus. However, Sophie and Joe have just not been interested in getting any media attention when it comes to the baby. Right from the start of their pregnancy rumors back in February, they’ve remained silent about all the speculations. So, perhaps, they want their newborn to be raised in a normal, loving environment with as little outside glare as possible. Who wouldn’t see the need for that in today’s paparazzi culture; where even babies become celebrities, with cameras following everywhere!
E! had reported a few details about how the couple was responding to this new change in their lives. “They are home and getting settled. Joe is very hands-on and involved. He wants to do everything he can and loves being with the baby and helping Sophie,” the source had said. It further added that the two are “so excited to be parents”. They have “been texting pictures to friends and calling on FaceTime to show her off. Everyone is very excited about them.” May they have a safe and blissful journey ahead!
