Jane Goldman says her Game of Thrones prequel will have humour and gore
Game of Thrones Season 7 is already over and we now have just one more season left before the show wraps up. However, we won’t be left stranded. HBO is already planning prequel series, with five ideas under development, under different writers. We recently got to hear a bit about Jane Goldman‘s idea, which she said will be “recognizable as a past event“. In a recent interview with DigitalSpy, she gave us a bit more of an insight into the idea. Read on!
Speaking of the project, she said :
“I am just writing ideas and outlining some things. I really can’t say very much about it, but yeah, it’s all going well. I’m having lots of fun making stuff up!”
Now, understandably, the idea is in its infancy, right now, and Jane can’t really say much about it, but she was asked if her project will have her signature brand of humour and gore. She responded with a positive, albeit reluctantly, but that’s just her trying to not give away too much :
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to say, but I would say yeah! Those are things I love, and things I like to do. It would be remiss of me not to put them in. So yeah.”
What do you think her idea could be about? We know for now that Robert’s Rebellion and Dunk and Egg aren’t among the ideas being developed, so our next bet is on some sweet Targaryen history, or maybe the events leading upto the Doom of Valyria or about the creation of White Walkers.
