“You cannot please everyone” says Iain Glen about Game of Thrones series finale
Game of Thrones Season 8 is filming at full speed, and we have been getting quite a few cast interviews teasing the final season. The hype has already begun, and while everybody is telling us that this season will be the best ever, it still will not please everyone. That’s exactly what Iain Glen, who plays the role of Jorah Mormont on the show said in an interview recently. Read on!
Iain Glen recently spoke to Indian Express, about Game of Thrones, and the final Season 8. He was asked the question that’s on every fan’s mind right now: Will Game of Thrones series finale give the fans closure? Iain said:
“Yes, I hope. I can’t tell, but I am one of the few people who has read the script and I know the ending and what happens.
When I read it, I thought it was rather brilliant. I am a bit of a fan of the series as well, and it satiated my expectation and hopes, I felt (it was the) conclusion..,but we will just have to see. You know with something this big like Game of Thrones, you cannot please everyone.”
He continued to give a little tease, while not revealing anything important:
“All I can say is that we will be doing what we have done before and the writers have written great episodes. They have had a great strike rate up to now and I am sure that will continue.”
He also talked about how the success of the show was a surprise to everyone involved:
“I had a hunch somewhere that it might go on to do something, but.., the milieu of ‘Game of Thrones’.., Fantasy.., has not had a great track record. I think everyone was definitely surprised about how it grew year on year.”
He also praised HBO fot driving the show perfectly enough to make it such a huge success. He then talked a bit about his character, Jorah:
“I always found a romantic streak in him. The makers never decided to write it in the series and I can understand why because everything about Jorah gets revealed onscreen in the story we have already seen. (And rest) we shall see.
There may be surprises up there. You will have to see what happens up ahead.”
Well, guess we’re gonna have to wait to learn anything of importance. Where do you see Jorah heading next season? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
