Game of Thrones is a pop culture icon, there’s hardly anyone on this planet who hasn’t heard of the fantasy epic. Even today, people who are being introduced to the show are simply blown away by its amazing content, and there’s this feeling of awe and disbelief that is commonly observed in their reaction. This experience has been a staple source of memes for the meme community, generally made by fans already done with the show, poking fun and teasing the new watchers about the twists they are not quite prepared for.

Season 1 of Game of Thrones premiered nearly 11 years ago, setting up the audience who haven’t read George R. R. Martin’s books for an unpredictable adventure, introducing amazing characters from the honorable Starks to the treacherous Lannisters and the gullible Baratheons. One person on Reddit even decided to make a tier list of the characters after going through the first season, which is quite the nostalgic feeling reminiscing of the time when we were first introduced to Game of Thrones.

On the top of the list sit Tyrion and Arya, as many would have guessed, the best characters. And at the bottom sits Joffrey, who many know as one of the most hated characters to ever exist in Game of Thrones. In fact, Joffrey might be the most hated kid in all of television history!

We know that everyone’s tier list would contain different characters, everyone has their personal favorite. This is reflected in the comments section, where seasoned fans of the series openly welcome the new member and assure them that they’re in for a hell of a ride!

Season 1 may not have been too interesting to some, and as mentioned by Miltos Yerolemou (Syrio Forel), the show began at a slow pace, gradually building up the setting. But by the end of Season 3, the show set ablaze like dragon fire. The Red Wedding was on everyone’s lips, and you cannot deny that Season 6’s Battle of the Bastards wasn’t the most stressful, grueling and ultimately hugely satisfying war sequence you’ve ever watched on TV. All these factors simply make the early seasons of Game of Thrones hard to miss.
