Turn yourself into the Night King with the latest Facebook filter
Game of Thrones Season 7 finale is just a day away now, and none of us can wait. The 81-minute long finale, titled ‘The Dragon and the Wolf”, will air this Sunday, and it has been hyped up a lot. The Night King now has one of Daenerys‘ dragons, Viserion, who we saw fall, and rise again as an Ice Dragon. Now, there is no doubt that the Night King looks cool (pun intended), and if you remember, HBO had released a Snapchat filter that let you get the Night King look, and now HBO has brought one to the Facebook app, on time for the Season 7 finale. Read on!
The filter is built into the Facebook app. Kristofer Hivju, who plays the role of Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones took to the official Facebook page of the show to give a demo of how the filter works. Check it out below :

Speaking of the effect, HBO said :
“To create the Night King camera effect on Facebook, the Game of Thrones digital and social media team utilized 3-D scans and textures of the Night King from the show. Creative technology and VFX studio The Mill then stepped in to create a chillingly realistic experience that transforms users into the Night King as he’s seen on screen.”
The filter will also be accompanied by a bit from the track titled “The Army of the Dead“, composed by Ramin Djawadi for the season finale. He featured in a video of his own, too, pulling off the Night King look. Check it out below :
